What Is Userlytics?

The folks at Userlytics are all about testing. They help companies find testers to evaluate their website, app, or SaaS product. They recruit and pay people like you to be the testers. Clients can select a number of testing types and setup a new test quickly online …

As a tester, you will be asked to perform certain tasks while visiting the target site or product. You are provided with a screen recorder and give real-time feedback as you navigate the site or app.

It is one of those sites that just makes sense. Websites, SaaS applications, mobile applications require lots of testing and it is best done in as many different configurations of browsers and user behavior as possible. UX design is fickle and small changes can make a big difference in the success of a site or product. Most companies don’t do this often enough to have a staff for testing so it is an ideal task to outsource.

So testing design and functionality of sites and apps makes sense. But is Userlytics legit?

Userlytics will confirm the email and give you a link to the registration page. Once nice thing about Userlytics is that they are no just for US testers. Though most tests are for US and Canadian companies/testers they also have testing projects in Europe South Africa, Southeast Asia, Japan, China and other countries.

It is important to complete the initial questionnaire in detail. These answers will determine your eligibility for specific tests.

It may be fun but you still would like to earn a bit of money. How much can you earn at Userlytics?

How Much Money Can I Make with Userlytics

Remember this is a side-hustle. You won’t make rent money so you should enjoy the tasks.

Most tests pay $10. Some pay more. Userlytics claims testers can make up to $50/hr.

Since the average test takes 20-40 minutes that is ~ $20 per hour.

    Not bad.

Unfortunately there are not likely to be multiple tests you can take every day.

    Userlytics Community

Uerlytics has two audiences. The companies testing design and user experience and the testers looking for a side hustle.

There is a FaceBook group for testers. It does not announce new tests but does provide some first-level support. There are not many new posts and there is quite a bit of spam on the page.

    Pros and Cons — Userlytics

    PROS

    Anyone can join

    Easy to use.

Testing can be more interesting than surveys.

    Paid via PayPal.

    CONS

    Not enough tests

    Certain demographics get more/fewer tests

    Payouts are only $10

    Bottom Line

Userlytics is a side-hustle and not a job. Many people do enjoy giving feedback and taking part in the testing. It is interactive and more interesting than surveys.

All you need is a computer and/or a mobile device. Best to have both as you will get ore test invitations.  At $10 per test you won’t get rich but the typical test is just 30 minutes.

You certainly won’t get rich or pay the rent but you should be able to have a nice night out occasional and monetize your idle time.
